SITE HIGHLIGHTS
Sembach Air Base is located in Kaiserslautern and is the home of the Air Force Meteorological Center and a large Air Force Civilian Personnel Office. The University of Maryland office is located in
Building 203, Room 304 on the second floor.
The majority of students at Sembach Education Center are affiliated with the Air Force and are either active duty or family members. There are, however, a large number of students who commute freely
to Sembach from several of the bases in the Kaiserslautern Military Community.
We ordinarily run about four courses and two seminars per term at Sembach in a variety of disciplines, to include
Psychology, Sociology, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Business, and English.
There is a library with 4 computers that are connected to the Internet for surfing and E-Mail. The hours are Tues - Thurs
1100 - 1900, Fri and Sat 1100 - 1700, and Sun 1300 - 1700.
There is also a library located in nearby Kaiserslautern Kleber Kaserne (Army site), where faculty and students may take the opportunity to do research on the Web. The library is located in Building
3205 and has three on-line computers which can be used any time during library operating hours. Hours of operation are Monday - Thursday 0800-1900; Friday 0800-1700 and Saturday 1200-1600. Access to the
Internet is available for limited one-hour periods if others are waiting and unlimited if no one is waiting. Access to the Internet is not available on Air Force Bases.
A copy machine is available for lecturers’ use.
Overhead projector, television and VCR are also available;
However, you must contact the field representative and reserve
24 hours before the class or seminar.
There is a library located on Sembach Air Base.

Friday through Sunday: 1400-1900
